Why We Began?
Gallawah was founded in October 2020 to address a significant gap in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) for both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, as well as non-Aboriginal communities. Recognising the need for culturally sensitive and accessible disability services, Gallawah was established with the mission to provide tailored support for those who need it most.
Our goal is to empower individuals, particularly in underrepresented communities, by offering person-centred care that promotes inclusion and independence. By bridging these gaps in the NDIS, we aim to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals across Australia.
