What are ADLs?
Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), also known as Personal Care, are supports that help NDIS participants with essential daily tasks. This can include assistance with personal care activities such as showering, dressing, grooming, and general home tasks like light cleaning or cooking.
How can I access ADLs through my NDIS Plan?
ADLs fall under the Core Support budget of your NDIS Plan, which is flexible. You can allocate funds for in-home support as long as it meets the “reasonable and necessary” criteria, even if ADLs are not explicitly stated in your plan. It’s recommended to speak with your LAC or Support Coordinator to plan how much in-home support you require.
